Home Again

Man it has been a whirlwind to say the least. Our time in Florida ended up very well. We laid in the sun on Weds., dodged rain on Thursday and laid out some, and then had dinner with our old friends, Clark and Patti Keator. They are the folks who let us stay in their house while we were in Orlando and they were on a cruise. It was great fun to catch up with them.

On Friday morning, we got up early and headed to the airport. It was nuts. We were not flying together since I put Sondra on a free ticket so I got home about 930a, picked up the dog and mowed the lawn. Sondra went through NY LGA and got home later than scheduled. I had left at 1p to head to east Tennessee with a couple of guys from the SS class to camp and white water raft. Great fun. We laughed putting up the tent, starting the fire (I was in charge of that and we came out good) and then trying to see how flammable Jacob was. Not very. We were trying to light the lantern, but Jacob tried to light himself a little. No problem. It was a good night's rest (for real) and then up this morning to meet up with a couple of other guys to go down the Ocoee. What a rush! Probably the best trip down the Ocoee I have made.

We cleaned up, grabbed some lunch and headed home. It is nice to be home. Sondra left this afternoon to go spend some time with her folks. She should be landing in Springfield about now. Shelbi and Morgan should be home from Naples tonight and then we will head to church tomorrow. Looking forward to celebrating Easter.

Pray for Sondra's folks. Neither of them are really doing very well. We will know more now that Sondra is up there with them. Pray that it is a good time for all of them to spend together as well.

I talked to dad today and they placed mom's headstone this week and dad said it looks great. It really helps bring some closure for dad. He really is a cool guy who seems to be handling the loss of his wife pretty well. I have always been proud of him, but probably more now than ever.

I am also loving watching all this cool March Madness stuff. My bracket is not too bad. I have missed 6 so far. Glad Duke is gone.
