A Restful Weekend

It was good to be home this weekend. The weather is still fairly cold (although it did get up in the mid-40s today) and the sun is shining. It always seems a little better when the sun shines. Yesterday I got a 5-miler in during the afternoon and then my wife and I headed out with some friends for a good dinner at Carrabba's (that's good eating) and a walk around Green Hills Mall. The Sharper Image always provides a good gadgety distraction and the massage chairs bring comfort and relief. We did not buy anything but did run into some friends while we were out.

Today was a good day of worship at New Hope. Tony Forehand, who is a LifeWay trustee, and a church planter in Las Vegas did a good job dealing with the leadership of Joshua. He is biblical and funny and a very good communicator.

Our Sunday School class continues to grow and looks like we may have to request a bigger room soon. The attendees are a great group of young adults who love God and are interested in becoming who Christ desires for them to become. I just try to stay out of their way and let God do His work. They are a great encouragement to me in my walk.

No travel this week that is planned. It will be nice to be home. Our last regular season game is tomorrow night and then we will see where we are seeded and when we play in the district tournament. It will be nice to have some of our evenings back with no ball, but I do love watching our girls play ball.
